- Clean the window and window frame thoroughly. Remove paint, grease and other dirt. If any is left behind, it will be visible!
- Also clean the surrounding area, like your work environment.
- If you are applying near a ceiling and/or the ground make sure they are also clean. Also be wear of flying insects.
- The white and transparent cling (R04) can easily be removed from their paper backing. Both the white and transparent window cling sticks to the glass with both sides of the film.
- For the transparant window cling we advise you to stick the backside of the transparant window film to the window glass.
- Remove the backing paper. Carefully. When the window cling contains letters/cut-outs/elements, be very careful when removing the backing paper, as to not tear the window cling itself, when parts remain stuck to the backing paper.
- Use your water spray bottle to apply a small mist of water onto the glass itself. You may also want to apply water to the window frame to counter dust/dirt. If droplets start running across the glass you have used too much water.
- Use two people. Position the window cling onto the window glass at the preferred location. One person holds the top/left of the window cling and the other person holds the bottom/right of the window cling, to position the window cling correctly.
- Use your supplied free squeegee. Start in the middle/centre of the window cling and move horizontal with overlapping movements towards the edge of the window cling. During which you hold the window cling a couple centimetres (2 inches) above the surface/window/mirror itself.
- Always pull the white/transparent window cling outward, to make sure the window cling is completely flat on the glass, before carding over the window cling with your squeegee. Always start at the centre/hart of the window cling.
- Check to see if there is still any air trapped between your window cling and the window glass itself. In the occasion that air is still trapped between the window and the window cling. Gently push the air bubble to the edge of the window cling (nearest part of the window not covered with window cling) with your squeegee. No need to use force, or you may distort the shape of the window cling.
- Remove the remaining water around the window cling with a cloth/towel.
- Only clean the frosted window cling with a little water and a very mild soap using a soft cloth.
